About Us

The Children's Clinic at St. Lawrence is a faith based joint venture between St. Lawrence Church and Patricia Dyer, NP.

Saint Lawrence is a friendly little Catholic Church in the City of Buffalo. We have the latest parish Mass in the City at 10:00 PM on Saturday night. You are always welcome to come and worship with us.  Masses are at 8:30 AM Monday through Friday, Saturday at 4:30 PM and 10:00 PM, and Sunday at 10:00 AM.

Patricia Dyer is a pediatric nurse practitioner with a diploma from the Champlain Valley Physician's Hospital School of Nursing, a Bachelor of Sciences degree from Regents College and a Master of Sciences degree from the State University of New York at Stony Brook.

Our mission is to provide quality health care for children and families who live near our church in North East Buffalo.  No one will be refused service for inability to pay.

Vaccinations are done on a walk in basis from 9 am to Noon Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.  Other hours by appointment.  There will be no walk in hours and limited appointments from December 23, 2009 to January 4, 2010.

Physicals are by appointment only.

We have vaccines for uninsured children, and all our vaccine records are uploaded to the New York State Immunization Registry. This makes them readily available should parents ever lose the records.  There is an administration fee of $5.00 per shot.

When needed, physical exams include hematocrits (blood counts), lead testing, and hearing screening. Children, 6

months to 5 years, receive a brand new book with each well child visit.

Our office has 24 hour telephone coverage. We have screening referrals available for sexually transmitted diseases.

The HPV vaccine (for cervical cancer) is available for girls 9 to 19 years.

The clinic now participates with three insurance carriers as well as Medicaid. Patricia L. Dyer, MS, PNP is a primary health care provider for Fidelis Care NY. We accept commercial insurance, too.

For those without insurance and unable to pay, there is a sliding scale available.

Adult services include blood pressures, blood sugars, and vaccines.

For bereavement concerns, prescription assistance or questions about health referrals, please call for an

appointment (308-6302).

Adult services, except vaccines, are free.

We have served over 1000 children since opening in October, 2005
